타인의 말은 때로 칼처럼 예리하게 개인을 흔든다. 이 작품은 부정적인 언어가 지닌 힘과, 그 상처가 오히려 자신을 단단하게 만드는 역설적인 순간에 주목한다. 안무자는 상처받는 몸이 아닌, 공격적인 언어를 거부하고 거리 두는 신체의 선택에 집중한다. “I don’t ○○○ you”는 단절이나 분노의 표현이 아니라, 무례한 언어와 태도를 선택하지 않겠다는 입장이다. 작품은 이러한 선택이 신체의 저항과 감정의 재구성을 거쳐 하나의 방향성으로 정렬되는 과정을 담는다.

Words from others can be as sharp as a blade, often unsettling the individual. This work focuses on the power of negative language and the paradoxical moment in which such wounds instead become a source of inner strength. Rather than depicting a body that is hurt, the choreographer centers on the body’s choice to reject and distance itself from aggressive language. “I don’t ○○○ you” is not an expression of anger or a declaration of severance, but a clear stance of refusing to engage with rude language and the attitudes behind it. The piece captures the process through which this choice, passing through physical resistance and the reconfiguration of emotion, aligns into a singular direction.
