2026 BIDF 프린지 사업 개요

2026년 제22회를 맞이하는 부산국제무용축제(BIDF)는 혁신적이고 실험적인 무용 창작을 장려하고, 국내외 무용 예술가들이 자유롭게 교류할 수 있는 장을 마련하고자 “BIDF 프린지”를 신설하였습니다.

BIDF 프린지는 신진 안무가부터 새로운 형식을 실험하는 기성 예술가에 이르기까지 폭넓은 참여를 통해 창의적 도전의 기회를 제공하며, 국제 페스티벌 예술감독, 프로모터, 프로그래머 등 전문 관계자를 포함한 글로벌 관객과의 직접적인 소통을 도모하는 플랫폼입니다.

2. 사업 목적

• 예술적 우수성, 창의성, 다양성을 기반으로 부산국제무용축제 기간 중 다양한 무용 예술가 및 단체에 공연 기회를 제공
• 지역에 뿌리를 둔 국제 무용 축제로서 세계적 흐름을 반영하고, 개방적이고 다층적인 축제 플랫폼을 통해 국내외 무용 창작 활성화 도모

3. 지원 자격 및 작품 요건

• 지원 대상: 국내외 개인 무용가, 무용단체
• 장르: 모든 형태의 춤 및 움직임 기반의 공연 (현대무용, 발레, 스트리트 댄스, 신체극, 장소 특정적 공연 등 독창적인 창작 작품 중심)
• 지원 작품: 기 발표 작품 및 초연 작품 모두 지원 가능
• 공연 시간: 15분 이상 20분 이내

4. 선정 단체 지원 사항

• 공연 날짜: 부산국제무용제 축제기간 중인 2026년 6월 2일 오후 7시 ~ 6월 3일 오후 2시 ~ 선정작 공연 진행 (공연규모 및 기술여건에 따라 공연장소 및 날짜가 변경·배치될 수 있음)
• 공연 장소 제공: 부산 영화의전당 내 하늘연극장(약 800석) 및 극장 로비 공간
• 조명 및 무대기술 지원: 음향 오퍼레이션은 참가팀 자체진행. 작품별 추가 장비는 지원하지 않음
• 홍보 지원: 부산국제무용축제 공식 브로셔, 홈페이지, 공식 SNS 채널을 통한 홍보
• 사진·영상 아카이빙: 공연 사진 및 영상 자료 제공(아카이빙 및 홍보 목적)
• 네트워킹: 국내 및 해외 축제 예술감독, 프로모터 및 프로그래머와의 미팅 및 네트워킹 기회 제공

OPEN CALL: The 1st BIDF FRINGE 2026

1. Introduction

The Busan International Dance Festival (BIDF), celebrating its 22nd edition in 2026, is launching the inaugural BIDF Fringe.

We warmly invite innovative and daring dance artists and companies to apply for the BIDF Fringe Program. The Fringe serves as a platform for both emerging choreographers and established artists experimenting with new forms. It offers a space for creative risk-taking and direct engagement with a global audience, including professionals such as artistic directors of international festivals, promoters, and programmers.

• Organized by: Busan International Dance Festival Organizing Committee
• Application Deadline: February 20, 2026, by 17:00 (KST)
• Selection Announcement: February 27, 2026
• Dates: June 2nd – 3rd, 2026
• Festival Venues: Busan Cinema Center (BCC) Haneulyeon Theater and its lobby area

2. Objectives

• To provide performance opportunities to artists and diverse range of dance companies during the Busan International Dance Festival, based on artistic excellence, creativity, and diversity.
• To reflect global trends as an international dance festival rooted in Busan City, and to offer performance opportunities to a wide range of domestic and international companies through an open and multifaceted festival platform.

3. Eligibility & Categories

• Eligibility: Open to individual dancers, dance companies, and multidisciplinary collectives, both local and international.
• Artistic genres: All forms of dance and movement-based performance are welcome, with a focus on original creative works, including contemporary dance, ballet, street dance, physical theatre, and site-specific work.
• Work status: Both previously presented works and premieres are eligible.
• Duration: Each performance must have a running time of 15–20 minutes.

4. Benefits for Selected Artists/Companies

• Performance venues: A professional stage at the Busan Cinema Center Theatre (approx. 800 seats) and the theatre lobby area.
• Technical support: A basic lighting and sound package will be provided, along with a professional technical coordinator. Sound operation must be handled by the participant. Any additional equipment required for individual works will not be provided.
• Marketing & promotion: Inclusion in the official festival brochure, website, and social media channels of the Busan International Dance Festival.
• Photo & video archiving: Professional photo and video documentation of the performance will be provided to participating artists and companies for archival and promotional use.
• Networking opportunities: Access to meetings and networking sessions with international promoters and programmers.
