15분 분량의 무용작품인 '늑대들'은 두 성인 남자 무용수인
토니 총과 스티븐 오코널이 듀오로 공연한다.
이 작품은 '빨간 후드를 쓴 소녀'라는 원작의 세 번째
개정작에다 독특하고 신선한 요소들을 담아냈다.
늑대들이란 작품에서는 선과 악이 내적으로 상충된
두 가지 인격체를 담고 있는 한 늑대를 그리고 있다.
이런 이중성은 한 캐릭터가 다른 캐릭터를 따라다닌
다는 이야기를 정체성의 심리적인 탐구로 변화시킨다.
'늑대들'은 안무에서의 반복과 미묘한 공연을 통해
우리들의 이중적인 본성을 몸으로 표현하면서 스스로의
존재론적인 투쟁을 깊이있게 탐구한다.
This 15-minute dance work titled Wolves, features a duo performed by two mature male dancers (Tony Chong and Stephen O'Connell), bringing a unique, fresh perspective to this third revised version of Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. Wolves, the Wolf is split into two personas, embodying the internal conflict of good versus evil. This duality transforms the narrative into a psychological exploration of identity, with one character shadowing the other. Through choreographic repetition and nuanced performance, Wolves delves into the existential struggle of the self, presenting a physical manifestation of our dual nature. |
